AFZENDA-O, as part of its health services activities, is seeking qualified candidates to join its team at the Mother and Child Support Health Center – District 17, Kabul for the following positions:
Available Positions and Job Descriptions
1. Obstetrician & Gynecologist (OB/GYN)
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Diagnose, treat, and follow up on maternal and gynecological conditions
•Conduct antenatal and postnatal check-ups (ANC/PNC)
•Supervise and perform natural deliveries and manage emergency cases
•Provide counseling on family planning, nutrition, and maternal health care
•Collaborate with midwives and nurses and refer urgent cases to specialized centers
•Maintain accurate patient records according to Ministry of Public Health guidelines
Requirements:
•Specialist degree in Obstetrics & Gynecology
•License to practice from the Ministry of Public Health
•Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
2. Pediatrician / Internal Medicine Doctor
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Diagnose and treat general internal medicine and pediatric conditions
•Manage emergency cases (fever, diarrhea, respiratory issues, etc.)
•Provide health and nutrition counseling to parents
•Collaborate with vaccination teams and laboratory staff
•Maintain patient records and refer cases requiring specialized care
Requirements:
•Specialist degree in Pediatrics / Internal Medicine
•License to practice from the Ministry of Public Health
•Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
3. Midwife
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Provide care before, during, and after delivery
•Conduct natural deliveries and manage initial emergency cases
•Educate mothers on nutrition, breastfeeding, and disease prevention
•Provide family planning services and support health campaigns and vaccination programs
•Accurately record delivery data and submit reports
Requirements:
•Graduation in Midwifery
•License to practice from the Ministry of Public Health
•Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
4. Laboratory Technician
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Perform all routine laboratory tests
•Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results
•Properly handle and maintain laboratory equipment
•Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols
•Maintain organized records and provide reports
Requirements:
•Graduation in Medical Laboratory Technology
•License to practice from the Ministry of Public Health
•Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
5. Pharmacist
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Receive, store, and dispense medicines according to doctors’ prescriptions
•Control the quality and expiration dates of medications
•Advise patients on proper use of medicines
•Maintain accurate inventory records and submit reports
•Forecast medication needs for the health center
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or 14 years of relevant education
•License to practice from the Ministry of Public Health
•Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
6. Support Staff / Attendant
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Daily cleaning of the health center and rooms
•Disinfect equipment and premises
•Assist in patient transportation within the center
•Collect and properly dispose of medical waste
•Help maintain a safe and clean environment
Requirements:
•Minimum primary education up to Grade 7 (preferred)
•Experience in cleaning or service work (preferred)
•Ability to work in a team and follow hygiene standards
